Singapore's Tallest, Greenest, and Newest: A Modern Architecture Walk

Do you find yourself looking up at tall building? Squinting to see what the surface is made out of or if those green bumps at the tippy top are the trees of a rooftop garden. Are you drawn to the avant garde and the shiny and the new?

If you're intrigued by Singapore's newest, highest, greenest, and most eye-catching architectural developments in areas like Tanjong Pagar and Marina South, then this lively romp around our island's cluster of modern architecture is for you.

Please join us for a walking tour, starting with Marina One and its lovely green heart-shaped centre, then across Shenton Way to Tanjong Pagar area, an area currently undergoing quite an exciting rejuvenation.

There we will check out the vertical gardens of the super striking tall red Oasia Hotel, where we will have coffee while admiring the expansive view from its 27th floor. Nearby we will also have a gander at Singapore's tallest building, the 64-story Tanjong Pagar Centre, at 290 meters (951 feet).

Learn about the architects and concepts behind these amazing contemporary structures, and how they are helping to put Singapore on the modern architecture map — big time.

We will also have some time to pay homage to their older neighbours, from the Maxwell Chambers and the Seng Wong Beo temple, to our architectural adventure at the URA centre, where we will learn about our future city planning strategies.
